Everyday Breakfast

Even though these recipes are simple- I have a surprising amount of questions about what food I eat on my tumblr, I so I am going to share them anyway! This one is a staple for me, I look forward to it every morning. When I first started college I would skip breakfast, or have a small granola bar- I thought it was a good way to save time, but I later realized that it took a toll on my energy levels throughout the day.

The old adage about breakfast being the most important meal of the day is true; I eat a lot in the mornings and afternoons to keep me going. Unlike cereal, oats fill me up for a long time and they don't have any added unnatural sugars. I'd definitely recommend trying this out if you haven't, it always puts me in a great mood for the morning.

- combine 3/4 cup of rolled oats + 3/4 cup water in the oven for 15 minutes at 350
- mix in a tablespoon of agave to sweeten 
- add one chopped banana + one cup of berries on top
- add two cups of milk (I use unsweetened almond milk because the fruit and agave are already very sweet)
