Summer Blues / FLC x Bag Borrow or Steal

wearing: shop jawbreaking tee(10% off with the code FLORENCIA), YSL bag (via BBOS), garage clothing shirt (s/o, similar shirt here), garage clothing shorts, adidas sneakers, boutique sunglasses (unavailable online, identical pair here).

If you guys haven't figured it out yet, my favorite color is blue! When I saw this wall I was way too excited. Today's outfit is super simple and perfect for summer, I wear different variations of it on really laid back days. Of course the blue YSL bag I'm borrowing from Bag Borrow or Steal made an appearance, I haven't gone anywhere without it since it came in the mail... it definitely makes any casual outfit stand out.

Matchy, Matchy / FLC x Bag Borrow or Steal

How gorgeous is this YSL Sac de Jour bag?! Sadly, It's only mine for the moment.. but the good news is has a service that makes it much easier to get your hands on one of these babies. They rent out bags from many designers including YSL, Prada, Celine, Alexander Wang, Balenciaga and Stella McCartney (just to name a few). It was hard for me to pick just one but my love for the color blue and Hedi Slimane's designs led me to this one! I can't wait to style it with all my favorite summer trends this month.
For today's outfit I went back to my summer outfit formula of: t-shirt + skirt + sneakers. I love the sport-luxe vibes of this skirt mixed with my superstars (I haven't taken them off since I got them). I usually stray away from color but I have a soft spot for blue and these GANT sunglasses caught my eye the minute I saw them... they look a little futuristic and crazy, I definitely get a couple extra looks on the street when I wear them.

Sweatshirt Styling

Everyone loves sweatshirts, they're the perfect thing to throw on in the morning when you're exhausted and just want to feel comfortable. I'm definitely guilty of living from sweatshirt to sweatshirt during finals weeks and lazy days.. but a sweatshirt doesn't always mean giving up! Lately I've come across come awesome pieces by brands like Jawbreaking, Hollister, and Zoe Karssen that give me pride in my cozy habit.

Here are some ways I'd style a sweatshirt, and some of my favorite picks right now! enjoy xx Flo

Denim shirt dress + Silver details / FLC x Rent the Runway

Shirt dresses are a great middle ground between casual and dressy. I love how they look with a cool statement belt and ankle boots, and of course the silver Elizabeth & James bag brings the look together. This forever 21 shirt dress is the perfect dark wash for me, almost every denim piece I own is light so it's a nice change. I can't wait to transition it into the fall / winter with tights and over the knee boots!

Duster coat + Silver Details / FLC x Rent the Runway

This month I'm teaming up with Rent the Runway to show you guys how I'd style some of their pieces! I've been using their items in my polyvore sets for ages so the collab is a dream come true. I usually go for all black leather bags, but for this post I choose something outside my comfort zone.. a silver satchel by Elizabeth and James. Silver is definitely my metal of choice and I love how unique this bag is. I chose to pair it with this forever 21 duster coat and a simple playsuit to keep the attention on the bag and add some city-sophistication to the look. Renting statement designer pieces is great because you don't have to completely invest in them, making these types of 'out-there outfits' a lot easier to create! xx Flo

Updates + Best of July

As of July 6th I am now 20 years old! I completely missed my opportunity to mention that in my last couple posts.. this is my 3rd blog post as a 20-year-old (pretty anticlimactic). Now that I am no longer any sort of 'teen' I feel that it is my obligation to be a real responsible adult-y type. The kind of person who is on top of their job and doesn't call their parents the second something goes wrong. I'm happy to say that I think I have half of it down (sorry mom). With all the school-free days I have right now I am working very hard to get as much work done as possible! I have a few collaborations in the works at the moment, all of which I am completely thrilled with (and I think you guys will like them too).

For today I wanted to stay true to an old FLC structure of a 'monthly favorites' post. I always love reading what other bloggers are into every month and I hope you guys like these posts too. This month I've rediscovered my love for magazines, specifically Harper's Bazaar. Every type of media is so digitized right now that I consume almost all my information from my iPhone... with bloggers and models on instagram and tumblr, anything printed has fallen by the wayside for me. It's only when I'm at the grocery store and I see the glossy covers that I fall in love with them all over again. There is something very special about the tangibility of a magazine; it's like you can feel all of the hard work that the editors put into it (not to mention the gorgeous photos). I still have yet to bite the bullet and subscribe to anything.. I want to make sure I pick the right magazine! If you guys have a strong preference definitely let me know.

Style-wise I've been wearing two things non-stop: my Adidas superstars and my Stella McCartney backpack. There are few items that I feel can completely represent my style, but these two definitely do the job. I spend my days running around taking photos so there is little time for heels or impractical bags. My falabella backpack can hold everything that I need for the day: my camera, phone, wallet, extra clothes, sunglasses, makeup bag, water bottle and keys (with extra room too!). As for the superstars, I've always loved white sneakers, but these are by far the most comfortable pair I own!

Naturally, I can't talk about everything I've been loving in depth.. but shop all my favorites here:
