Best Outerwear of the Season!

Untitled #7161

While I've been in NYC, I've had the opportunity to visit some of the best shopping destinations in the world, so I thought I'd share some of my finds in the outerwear department! Here is my roundup of the coats and / or jackets you should be looking for this season.

This year I've seen a lot of collections step out of the black / grey box, and release coats in oxblood, khaki and even prints (like this one from Paisie). Paired with some wetlook pants, a cream knit, boots and a beanie your winter look is ready to go. Another huge pattern I'm seeing in coats and jackets is fur accents. From collars and cuffs to a fur body with leather sleeves (like this jacket from AE), I'm loving the cozy feeling.

If you're looking to keep it more classic, I'd go for a timeless trench coat (like this one from Burberry at Net-a-porter). When the colder months come, these coats look amazing with a hooded scarf, or a (faux) fur vest peaking out from underneath.

Here are some sets I made showing how I'd wear some of these pieces! xx Flo

Favorites of the week!

Untitled #7095

As some of you know, this week I've been in New York City! Because of that, I haven't had much time to make any full style posts. I didn't want to completely neglect my blog, so here are my favorites of the week that have been with me everyday of my trip. xx Flo

1. Shoes - Blonde&Blonde boots. Ever since Eleanor wore the Topshop aftershock boots (which sadly sold out), I have wanted some lace ups with a white sole. Thankfully, BANK fashion came out with an almost identical pair which I've been wearing nonstop. They look so effortless and edgy but actually give me a lot of height which is never a bad thing!

2. Clothes - Topshop borg jacket. During the Teen Vogue topshop event (full blog post later this week), I found this amazing denim jacket! It's my favorite wash, and has a unique furry collar and vest inside. It goes so well with dark / black denim and is the perfect transitional piece between fall and winter.

3. Food - Bars bars bars. Traveling / my busy schedule has made it hard to stop for full meals, so I've been throwing these in my bag for when I get a free moment.

4. Music - DRAAAKE! Haha... Drake's newest album "Nothing Was the Same" has been on a constant loop for me, its definitely some of his best work (in my opinion of course). My favorites are Tuscan Leather and Too Much, both of which are polar opposites to his earlier "Take Care" tracks (for example Good Ones Go and Hate Sleeping Alone). These newer songs sound much more aggressive, and speak with a lot of conviction which is refreshing to hear from someone who is too often painted as the "nice guy". So upset that I'm missing his Boston show!

5. Accessories - Beanies. Before I left for my trip, I went to H&M to pick up some beanies. Any fall outfit can be instantly made more seasonal and stylish with one of these (plus they're perfect for windy days when the frizz can't be tamed).

6. Beauty - Topshop nail polishes. I know that this might come across as biased, but Topshop nail polishes are seriously on another level! I recently picked up a couple at the SoHo store and I love the consistency and finish of them. Definitely worth the extra dollars.

City Slacker

Get it?! Because I'm wearing slacks... okay. Besides my affinity for puns, I am also completely in love with these crazy pants from H&M. Menswear-inspired pieces are always my go-to, and they're what I feel most comfortable in. I'm a pretty casual person in terms of everyday style, so I had to pair these up with some classic chucks and a graphic tee.

Jacket - Tobi
Tee - Topshop
Slacks - H&M
Hat - H&M
Shoes - Converse

Getting festive!

Halloween is coming up soon, so I thought I'd make a post about how to dress during the weeks leading up to it! Most people put all of their time and effort into their costume for the night of, but I've put together some outfits that are completely easy to wear without thinking twice.

This week's favorites!

Untitled #6357

1. Shoes - Converse. This week I've found myself reaching for my classic black chucks a lot! They're awesome with pretty much any outfit, and so comfortable.

2. Clothes - Leather Jacket. It has finally cooled off enough for jackets! My leather jacket from is probably my favorite piece of outerwear I own. It fits so perfectly and has great stud details on the shoulders. This jacket with converse, jeans and a tee would make a great casual fall outfit.

3. Food - Apple cider. I have been obsessively drinking hot apple cider over the past few weeks! It smells so lovely and tastes like fall in a cup!

4. Music - Beyoncé. I usually go for soft / acoustic songs to listen to when I have down time, but for some reason If I Were a Boy and Listen have been on repeat for me this week! The lyrics in them are just so perfect and put so many of my thoughts into simple words.

5. Accessories - Aviators. Even in the fall time, it still get's unbearably sunny! Luckily, I recently got some Ray-ban aviators. I love the allover black design, it's definitely my style.

6. Beauty - Fall colors. For beauty, I've been using a lot of dark shades. Especially for nail polish, I love OPI's dark reds and navy blues.
